Alterpacks is an advanced materials start-up that upcycles food by-products to to replace single-use plastics. Our proprietary technology uses a mixture of spent grains and agricultural waste, to produce a plant fibre material for rigid packaging. Made up of 100% organic waste, the material has received international certification to be home compostable and food contact safe from the US FDA and Singapore Food Agency. Alterpacks is partnering distributors globally to supply their containers and has collaborated with international agencies to combat plastic pollution.
