Tsubame BHB
Tsubame BHB’s catalyst enables to produce ammonia at low temperature and low pressure. We developed and commercialized innovative catalyst based on long and strong partnership with Tokyo Institute of Technology (TIT). Our catalyst makes high performance with strong durability that is proved by many tests at our pilot plant since 2019. Additionally, supported by Japanese government fund, Tsubame BHB is developing a new generation catalyst with TIT to expand its business domain from small scale to large scale low carbon ammonia production.
Tsubame BHB’s first commercial plant for distributed ammonia will come on stream in 2025. We also received basic design orders from local and foreign clients for distributed ammonia. Clients can secure its ammonia by such distributed ammonia plants at their sites. Clients use surplus electricity and reduce transportation cost which may enable to produce low carbon ammonia at lower cost. We believe that Tsubame BHB’s technology is key for world decarbonization and food security.
